Phi Sigma Rho

Dear Potential New Members,

 

Thank you for your interest in Phi Sigma Rho — I am extremely excited to welcome you to begin your journey with us!

​

Phi Sigma Rho is a social sorority for engineering and hard science majors. It is a place where people can find long-lasting friendships, scholarship support, endless encouragement, and empowerment. Our community is dedicated to providing a space where our members can grow to their full potential as both students on campus and citizens beyond UCLA. Among us, you will find the brightest scientists and engineers, the most compassionate of friends, passionate leaders, and so much more.

 

Like many people in STEM, I often find myself overwhelmed by the challenge of balancing the academic rigor of my courses and the innately social nature of college. However, through Phi Rho I always have a source of support, my sisters. Since joining in Fall 2021, my fellow Phi Rhos have been there through the late study nights and stressful deadlines and spontaneous hangouts to support me through it all. Phi Rho has introduced me to lifelong friendships and has provided me with a home away from home at UCLA. 

 

Additionally, aside from being the Nu Chapter of the national Phi Sigma Rho organization, we are also an associate member of the Panhellenic Council here at UCLA! As members of the Greek community, we proudly uphold the values of academics, campus involvement, leadership, philanthropy, and sisterhood. However, because of our chapter's major eligibility requirement, we do not participate in Formal Recruitment and instead hold our own recruitment processes in the fall and winter quarters.
